I want to thank BassCat and Rick Pierce for their support of the Arkansas BASS Federation Nation. They go beyond the normal in providing a boat for the first place finish team, free of charge. This year it was a Classic – a very nice looking boat. It doesnt have a motor, and Rick is working on it, but thats beyond the point. As the boat is put on display during the tournament, all the guys that look it over really seem to be appreciative of having a very nice boat as incentive, motor or not. Without BCB support, there wouldnt be much of a federation, at least not in its present form. The number of boats was down this year on Chicot to 85 from a normal of 120-140 boats. Probably attributable to the cost of fuel and the distance to the lake location. But, it was still a successful event and we hope the economy will ease up a little for next year. Long post, but I wanted everyone to know how BassCat supports the Arkansas BASS Federation. They deserve way more than just my thanks can convey. Also, I would like to thank the fishermen and women for their patience and understanding because of the tournament lake relocation. If youre out there reading this, thank you.
