Brookville Lake Indiana

Just picked up my new P2 the last part of June. And Im trying to fine some were to get in to some smallmouth with out going to lake Eire I dont like fishing it buy self. And was wondering how the smallmouth fishing is in brookville Lake. Thanks

I just got back from Brookville Lake. I fished there for about 4 hours this morning. It was some tough fishing today. I only caught 4 bass, all smallies. I had one keeper, about 2.5lbs. I tried to fish some of my ledges, but the north wind at 30mph, made it a pain. The fish I did catch were in maybe 10 feet of water. This year hasnt been as good as last year.

Thanks for the info. I Think Im going to give it a try on Saturday. Whats the best ramp to put in at? I have never fished brookville before. Looks like it may be along cold winter if this is a sign of things to come.Last edited by RKW on August 14th, 2013, 8:42 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Hey. Push some of that stuff down toward San Antonio. It wont hurt Choke Canyon or Canyon Lake.

Fairfield Ramp is a good one, just south of Hanna Creek. Down by the dam is Bonwell Hill ramp. Its a good ramp if you are coming to the lake from the south. The lake will be a zoo on the weekend. Get there at first light or before, fish until noon or so ane then get out of there.

I will becoming from the north looks like I will take 27 to 101. If it gets that bad on the weekends I think I will hold off till Monday.

Hanna creek would be your beat bet. As you come down 101 out of Liberty, the right turn to that ramp is just past a convenience store. Its maybe 7-10 miles south of Liberty..

I would wait till Monday if you can. I was on Brookville last Sunday and it was a zoo.
