2010 Puma Electrical Issues

Need some help. Last weekend, everything on the boat worked fine.This weekend, none of the buttons on the circular pad that controls pump in and pump out for the livewells, including the accessory switch and the security system button work. All four of them are just dead.Also, the locker lights all over the boat are out. Never had this kind of problem before. There are no fuses or circuit breakers that I can find, so Im at a loss to figure this one out, so Im open to any and all input.Thanks much,Mike Whitten

It has been my experience when multiple electrical items are not working it is usually associated with a corroded or bad connection. Most of the time it has been the inline breaker coming off the battery. If yours has one, disconnect and clean. Also check for a loose or corroded wire at battery. I dont have a Puma, but with that many items not working it has to be associated with a main wire that these non working items are tapped off of. The connection does not have to look bad to not work properly. Electrical gremlins can sometimes be a pain to locate.

Mike, check the plug on the back of the pad, sounds like the it could have come loose. I believe the pad and box lites are controlled from the pad.

Yes, they are all controlled by the small panel, though also check for power coming into the dash with a light or meter. BCB

Hey Mike my 09 did something similar once-Before you order another accessory pad check one thing-Make sure ALL of the tabs that press down the light switches are being fully compressed when the boxes are shut-My alaram and lights did the same thing when the compression switch on the front center box pressed enough of a dent in the foam above it that it wouldnt ever turn off. If the lights time out on their own and they wont reload until that is done AND the alarm wont arm- The switch on my front center big box did not have an opposing screw cap cover to meet it and the soft inside of the lid eventually developed enough of a dent to prevent the switch turning off. I glued a screw cap cover opposing it and no problems since!Now overall that sounds like the pad but check the tabs first! Just turn on the boat and press all of them by hand and see if the lights come back on. C.O.D. Jr. III

Ward may be right on the power reading as on coming back in into the panel from an open switch, though it should not effect the power control on the pump in and pump out of the Pro Aeration. BCBLast edited by bassCat1971 on June 28th, 2010, 12:48 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Mike the small circuit breaker just below the throttle assembly controls the power supply. It is the little red button. Make sure that breaker is pushed in.
