The switches are a replacement item, they are not really able to be repaired, and if your boat is a 2008 Service would fire one out to you. Tell them to make sure it has bullets on it and there are only two 92) screws. Easier to do it than take it in for a service job. Two screws and two wires plug in. We assume you had your switch on auto also. The Perko latches are able to leak some, though try plumbers grease in the latch to prevent leakage. We dont grease them new as this stiffens the latch, though we do on our own. The oil the tumblers with silicote reel oil. BCB
