I have a Lowrance 112 on the front of my Cougar FTD with a 101 Minkota trolling motor w/ built in transducer. I have a four battery setup. I have never had a problem with the troll motor interfering with the graph. Yesterday I was fishing and every time I hit the trolling motor the graph would turn black from top to bottom until I stopped. This is the first time it has happened. Any suggestions as to what might be causing it or how I can remedy it? Thanks for any help….
Mine on my skeeter started doing that, I found that it depended on which speed my trolling motor was set as to whether it would or wouldnt do it. Try changing your speed on your trolling motor. Someone else should be along soon for more permanent suggestions.britt
BBC has a forum for Lowrance and Humminbird. The Lowrance forum is monitored by their technicians. You might want to give them a try.http://www.bbcboards.net/zeroforum?id=13
You are correct about turning the speed down. You can turn it down to 20% or less and the interfernce is minimal. But as you know, no one can fish with the motor that low. I dont understand why it would have just started?
Mine started out of no where. It was fine for months and months, then bam. Mine had other speeds it wouldnt do it at either. I just had to play around with it, and I dont mean slow speeds either. Good luck, interference is very frustrating.britt
Take the top off the trollingmotor and check the fuse on the ground wire. This fuse will blow if the two grounds cross for any reason.JohnJones Trolling Motor Services870 773 3474Motorguide/MinnKota/PowerPole/Lowrance/Humminbird
