Hi All,I just wanted to introduce myself and my new to me 2012 Eyra. After tons of research: new vs used, manufacturer vs manufacturer, talking to guys in my club, and more hours on the boards and websites than I care to admit, I found her.Its a very low hour boat (43.1 running hours according to the print out, but it has 220 on the smartcraft gauge from leaving the key on), that I picked up in Missouri this past weekend, and marathoned back to its home in Northern California.I cannot be more excited. This is my first bass boat (at 39 years old), but Im not new to bass fishing. Ive been fishing from the back seat for 25+ years, and have enjoyed being in my club. My dad taught me well, and helped me realize this dream by trailering it all the way back. Its a quick boat, but I have so much to learn. Im still figuring out all of the buttons, switches, and why some things arent working (like the gunnel deck lights and the front trim switches). The first time taking it out, when we pulled it out of the water, the paint on the side of the skag was chipped pretty badly all the way down to the aluminum. After calling the dealer, come to find out, the previous owner did paint the skag… Thats a little irritating since they are 2000 miles away.Other than that, shes wonderful. It tows well behind my new Sierra, and surprisingly fits in my small garage. They put 5 brand new tires on it (Maxxis 8008) and the Ultrex was a splurge worth every penny. So it all begins. Now to learn how to drive it as I fish my first club tournament this Saturday…
