I will be there pretty much whenever you whittle the dates down to make it work for everyone. I am guessing the “HUG A ROOT” guide service sign will be on display somewhere on the property.Hope they can work it out so MR. PHIL can make it. Thanks to the guys that make this happen. pant 2 Bob

I have a tournament the 28th too (Oct is completely out as is 9/6)…sorry but you do what you have to do. I know it is almost impossible to hit on everyones schedule. JL

Labor Day weekend or Im probably going to be out unless you want to do it October/November. I suggest the weekend after Thanksgiving. As Ive always said, I dont have to be there and if 9/21 is best for most of you, then go with it!

September 19th-21st. (Fri-Sun) Is what Luke is lookin at, Dates are good for me as far as i know,,,,,,Luke, You set it and i will be there if at all possible. P.A. will be there too, he just doesnt know it yet !!! As for me, there is no place id rather be than on the banks of the Cane, cooking under the “cookshack” with friends. No place like it in the world, it takes “southern hospitality” to another level. And folks, if you dont know L.A.D., well, youre in for a treat ! G.A.F. RULES ! ANYONE INTERESTED CONTACT LUKE via this website, and he will give you his e-mail, and contact #s. he is in charge of accomodations, and knows what estates will hold what, so hes the man. He will tell you up front what expenses are, and we generally work out the food, etc,,,,,, Warning, do NOT write Luke a check ! G.A.F. = Great American Function,,,,We go to an area, seems to be the central La.area now !, and show off our BCB boats, and get to know some folks while introducing the new boats to them every year, Phil will have an 09, as will Judd. and if i can sell my P4 i will also have a new rig, but mainly the fellowship and friendships developed are what the event is about. ALOT of ribbing over football and fishing, along with a boat driving clinic with P.A., cooking class with Emiril(Luke) and me, how to cool beverages with Hogface, and lancscape maintenance with Luke ! Tony Sinclair will be giving bartending lessons this year during whatever ballgame is on, and Tideman will be giving a seminar on GPS usage, and how to read a compass ! Wurm will demonstrate his prowess with a detail kit, and Phil will also be Derby director / Mechanic for the event. We have a Dr. on staff in case anyone needs one, and can do emergency surgery if necessary, but someone will have to hold his phone for him ! You must look out for Sam and Joey though, and someone needs to check livewells this year ! They are the only serious threat in the bunch, as they are serious fishermen, and hate to get beaten by a bunch of wanna-bees from the north(Arkansas) ! They also get a bit smoochy after a big fish is caught , but thats another story ! Anyway, too many stories to tell, and some will never be told,,,,,but it is definately an event not to miss ! D.
