BassCat, starting having issues with my compartment lights on my 08 Sabre FTD last week. They were very dim so I checked the voltage at the lights…..5.56 volts on every compartment. I contacted Stewart and he had me check a few wires on the DLW wiring harness. I reported my findings per his instructions and it was detemined that I needed a new DLX Security panel. New panel arrived today. Installed in the place of the original…….. Same results 5.56 volts across the lights. I ran a jumper wire from a known 12 volt source to verify the lights and lid switches were working properly, all good on that check. I had hopes of installing some “Blue Water” LEDs in place of the original lights but without 12 volts they wont work. Can you offer some insight as to what may be the problem or is there some other diagnostics that I can check. I did notice over the last week while waiting for the new switch the lights work fine on 2 occasions but after closing the lid and waiting for a few mins then reopening they were dim again. I also checked the ground block in the rear of the boat, all check out good. My appologies for the long post but I am left wondering what the problem is. Everything else in the boat is working properly, all lights and electronics are good to go.
