2010 225 proxs 25p fury 2010 puma ftd. in the shop. two people some times wiil take two to three hundred yards to brake over . full livewell not going to brake over. problem is worse after engin heats up. dealer plugged in checked computer,air psi, fuel psi all good ,ser# out side of bad coils.dealer takeing boat to the lake.

Plugs in prop ? Otherwise coil…….

I had a P-2 with a 200 meck efi on it that acted up frequently about getting on pad. When it took a very long time to get on pad or struggled to do so the voltage gage was always reading 12.5 or so. When it would jump on pad like it was supposed to the voltage was always above 14 volts. Sometimes it would take a long run after getting it on pad for the voltage to get back above 14. I never could figure out for sure why. I am thinking low battery voltage and it just took awhile for the alternator to charge the battery back up to acceptable voltage condition. Just a thpught if its not the coil packs.

no plugs . not enough exhaust to break the prop free. as for ward . i caught and passed a 250 hpdi on sam rayburn with a sick 225 PROXS.

My CougarFTD/250ProXS, with two people, full tanks, struggles to get on plane. Fill the live wells and it seems to take forever. I run a 26 Fury. With just me in the boat, the hole shot is awesome. My 06CougarFTD/225Opti, was the same. I think its just the nature of the beast.

That indicates maybe a large prop for the application. How about top end RPM and speeds?

bcb when i got the puma in november 2010 with 26 trophy plus two people no bow rise on take off . wot 5900. 25p fury wot5800-5900 74.5mph two people full livewell hole shot great. now one day hole shot good , same same day later on will take two to three hundred yards, or partner move to nose of boat. new plugs , and fuel filter.
