Ok all heres my problem, I have Sabre with an 08 150 Optimax, a couple of months ago my overheat alarm was coming on periodically, I took it in to the local shop (Merc certified by the way), Impeller was replaced, I took it out on the water and overheat problem was fixed, however, ever since then, it seems to have lost power. I took it back, told them the problem and they said that they cant find anything wrong, their computer doesnt show anything wrong. I was on the lake yesterday, top speed was 43 mph @ 4500 rpm water conditions and wind were perfect. Top speed used to be 59. In a previous post BCB mentoned that they werent too fond of the lightning prop that I have, (i am planning to get a Merc prop) but, it still doesnt make sense to me that I used to get better performance. Any ideas anyone? Oh, by the way, every now and then I will be able to hit 59, then it feels like something moves in the engine, and its back to sluggish. Im getting very frustrated, this is a fairlly new engine, I shouldnt be having these problems.
