Gentlemen,I have an 05 dual axle Puma trailer which has had a bearing failure. The axle is the front, non brake one. this trailer has leaf springs with square axle. The spindle has experienced significant galling and gouging to both outboard and inboard bearing seats. The opinion of my mechanic is both hub and spindle needs to be replaced. My questions are;Is it concidered good practice to measure the length cut the spindle away and weld on a new on obviously with the right dimensions or do I have to puchase a whole axle assembly. If I can weld on the spindle, are these available from BCB or do I need to go through UFP ?Thanks as alwaysBobSorry for the double post…the first one didnt show up for over a half hourLast edited by Bobcat on August 9th, 2013, 9:12 pm, edited 1 time in total.
