Will the 898 fit in dash of a 2007 PII? Also is $700 a good deal on a used unit,comes with map chip and waypoints.

Not sure about the fit…I think $700.00 is a great deal. I paid $1500.00 for mine new, (898 unit, GPS puck, mount, xducer, wiring) and another $200.00 for the mapping SD card.The only down side for buying used that I can comment on is the warranty.My keypad had issues and I sent my unit back twice to get it replaced.From what I understand the warranty is not transferrable when sold.Its a great unit!!!Last edited by LedzepP4 on January 7th, 2013, 3:10 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Well he doesnt have the transducer and only half the ram mount.

We dont think it will fit on the 2007 P2.

Nope, I have a 08 cat P2. It will not fit. Buy yourself a ram mount and mount on the side.

I have a 2011 PII and the 898 will not fit in the consol. This mount is from Sherms Marine, way better than a ram mount.

The lack of warranty concerns me. But I was also offered a HDS8 Gen2 with Insight, NIB never opened $1450. Would have to buy transducer for SI/DI, I believe.Is that a good deal? And will it fit in the dash of the P2?

That is a good deal on the 8. You would need the Stucture scan unit which would come with the unit, transducer, powercord and eithernet cable to connect to the 8 for DI/SIJones Trolling Motor Services870 773 3474Motorguide/MinnKota/PowerPole/Lowrance/Humminbird
