I was looking for a boat that met my needs, my circumstances, and my situation. I started looking in mid to late September and concluded my looking in early March. I live in Florida. The boat I found was in Illinois; from Florida you might as well say St. Louis. I bought the boat sight unseen and without any questions. I got a loan at a credit union and paid for the boat. Still, never having seen anything but photos. The boat looked AWESOME in the photos. Ok, I went to Dupo Marine in Dupo, Illinois to pick up my boat. They were working on it. Nothing was wrong! They were cleaning, polishing, checking out the electronics, the wiring, the outboard, the trailer, the trolling motor and on and on. The boat looked BETTER in person! The people went way out of their way to make sure THEY WERE PROUD OF THE BOAT THAT WENT OUT THE DOOR! I have been purchasing boats since 1971. NEVER has anyone gone this far out of their way to be proud of what they put out the door. I purchased a 2002 Bass Cat Jaguar. Imagine what they would they do for a customer who purchased a new boat. FOLKS, a dealership does not get any better than them!! If you need a boat, service, or anything marine you call Dupo Marien and tell them Hugh Crumpler could not say enough good things about them! Believe me I am trying. I just cant say how good they treated me! When someone is proud of the product they put out the door; the person who gets the product is blessed! Thank You Dupo. And thank you to anyone who reads this!

I too, bought my first Bass Cat from Dupo Marine…..a 2013 Saber. My wife and I went to five different boat shows and went back to Dupo Marine at the St. Louis Boat show and purchased this one. You could not have gotten any better service from a dealership. We were on a local lake two weeks ago, had a problem, called them from the lake and they walked us through the problem and solved it. Cant say enough for these guys. Just wish I didnt have to cancel the OI. especiallly since they were hoping for us to be there.

Bass Cat Boats

Congratulations on the new Bass Cat, Dad. Ive been digging in my archive of old photos lately to help Dad out with his book, website, etc. and Ive come across pictures of several of Dads past Bass Cats. We never had much in the way of luxury growing up (Its hard work and a heavy burden to support a family by fishing.), but looking back at all these pictures, Im reminded just how spoiled I was when it came to fishing, if nothing else. I remember the first time I ever fished out of something else besides a Bass Cat — I think I can say it was a Hydrasport, since theyre now out of business. Ill never forget what a shock it was to me how terrible the ride was. I was still pretty young then, but before that Id never been in anything but a Bass Cat, and I just thought all bass boats were like the ones I was used to fishing out of! Well, anyway, the following photos are of several, but not all, of Dads Cats. Thought youd all enjoy a little eye candy.Cheers,Scott
