Topic: Prop Question…New Motor on 07 Puma

I have just put a new 2012 Evinrude E-Tec 250 HO on my 07 Puma.Have been running it with a 26 Trophy Plus prop.Just completing break in and find that Im under propped to say the least.Has a tremendous hole shot, was quite impressed with hole shot on my 225 HO until Lower unit blew up.Between 4000 and 5000 RPM this baby boogies. Havent had it to the max yet.Just wondering, I know theres lots of good family members out there who have a lot more experience than me in knowing which prop will, or should do the job.This boat should boogie once I get it propped out right.Just enjoying a new toy for an Old timer, (65yr.) rather go fast on water now than go fast in a wheel chair 15 years from now.This boat came from NY from Paul. Phil you would remember this boat as I saw it on your Impactfishing board.

Once you get the new rig completely broken in and are comfortable with ringing it out I would call John Janaky at DAH propellers and tell him all the info and data on your combo. Ask him any question or concern you have and see if they can serve you. It would be a lot cheaper than buying a new prop and he will give you a very nice custom prop.
