I purchased the Sears P1 today for my cranking battery and have the following options for trolling motor batteries. The Trojan SCS225s are about $200 each, plus tax in my area (no shipping) but Cabelas has their AGM line on sale. The group 27 with 180 min reserve are $144 and the group 30 with 205 reserve are $174.00. although Ill pay about 30 bucks in shipping so there are about even in costs. are they even in expected performance? I run a Motorguide Digital 82 lbs thrust. Thanks

Ive run the Cabelas group 30 agms for 3 years and love them.God Bless, Stephen

I have 5 of the group 30 Cabelas AGMs. Three are from 2007 and stil run strong. They are worth it. I run them on my Cat and offshore rig. Strong battery with high reserve capacity. Go with either the Cabelas or the Sears Platinum you cant go wrong with either IMO.Last edited by Bama96 on March 6th, 2011, 2:16 am, edited 1 time in total.
