I finally got my new to me 2005 PUMA 225 ProXS out for maiden voyage this weekend. After reviewing all the gauges, I cranked motor over, had one beep and motor fired up nicely. I noticed two Oil Level Gauges on the Speedometer Gauge (2nd from left). The % was showing 0 and Level was blank and had Low Oil Level and never did register. The upper oil reservoir on cowling is about 1/2 an inch from top and the main oil tank was approximately 1/2 full (1.5 gallons). The motor never did beep while running and from what I could tell never went it guardian or limited horsepower. I did have the batteries out for the winter and installed for the new season and didnt know if this would cause need to reset gauges. Also, the Speedometer gauge appeared to have blinking AL sometimes which I assume was because of the Oil Level Readings. The Fuel levels on Speedometer Gauge appeared to be picking up but might not be calibrated. The RPM gauge (left) didnt show any Oil Levels.Does anyone know if both these oil gauges are used or what would cause appearance of not picking up oil level? Sensors prone to go bad? Also, does the Smartcraft gauges work with the trim level as it appeared to only go between “22-25” levels so I ran only by feel and tail height.Assistance welcome and ready to get to fishing…..See dash:Last edited by MDBASSNPRO on March 13th, 2012, 3:01 am, edited 1 time in total.
