Connecting HDS 9 to speedometer

I have an orange wire coming out of my nexsys gauges where you are to connect the lowrance wire to. Is it the lowrance yellow wire that I should connect to. Is that the sender?

On my past BCB the Speedo got its speed information from the NMEA network. There was a NMEA connection on the back of the speedo.
