Topic: Best Prop for PII

I have a 2011 PII with a 200 HP Mercury Pro xs. Currently I have a 24″ Fury prop on the motor. I have hit 71 mph by myself and 69 mph with two guys and a light tournament load. I can get into the rev limiter with this prop. The boat has a great hole shot. The PII has a hydraulic jackplate. I want to buy another prop and I want to make sure I purchase the right one. I want the boat set up to run with two guys (400 lbs) and a light to mediumtournament load. I want either a 25 or 26 Fury with a good hole shot. Which prop should I buy for over all performance and why? I live in Ohio so I have cold water in the Spring and hot water in the Summer. Thanks!

Here in the south the 25 Fury is the best all year around and a 26 does fine too, but in the dog days of summer I like the 25. In Ohio you would probably be fine with a 26 all year.

For two guys and a good load go with the 25 Fury. If you fish by yourself with lighter loads the 26 Fury is perfect.

I have the same set up like you. I have a 25 fury. With me along I can do 71 an some change with tackle, but that is with bout a 1/2 tank of gas with the saddle tank full. Now 2 guys full tournament load I can get 69 like you stated. But as things lite up a bite I have bumped 70. I am told that a 26 fury will do what you and both are looking for in cooler weather. I was also told that with 26 fury with 1 person 73 isnt a problem at all. I guess I will have to see cause I an flirting with buying a 26 fury. But thats after I mid-grade my electronics.
