you can repair any shimano reels. they are the easiest to get parts for. and while your at it upgrade the bearings to abec 7 ceramic and will really make em scream

I do mine in an ultrasonic cleaner. Shimano probably has the best stock factory bearings and respond very well to a thorough cleaning.
