Thank you for the response. I am not sure when this plate was put on as I have owned this boat for almost a year now. The previous owner did say they had replaced the hydraulic jackplate with this one after the hydraulic one failed. To my recollection the previous owner had the boat for 5 years, so my guestimation is that plate was put on in the last 6 years. Yes obviously it needs resealed. I did not notice this weeping last year, so I believe it has just started but, I certainly could have missed it last year. My concern is that if it had been leaking for a longer period of time, could this cause damage to the transom? My understanding is that this is a fiberglass transom and is less likely to have problems (than wood) with water intrusion, but thought I would ask for other opinions. Upon inspection the transom looks solid and it does not take on water while sitting in the water that I have noticed.Thank you for any further thoughts or suggestions anyone might have.
