Being that the Talons height is fixed when on the boat, what do you do when you have to go under a low bridge? With the power pole you can drop it enough to get under.

Dont go under or take it off. Same thing if you have a low garage door.

Seems that way to me. I dont have one, but do have a power pole. From the pictures and video out now, I wouldnt trade.

Just doing a little research and as little as I would use the talon or the power pole, I was looking into the bracket that you mount to the boat and the spear you put in the bracket. You could just store the pole (spear) in your rod locker that you slide in the bracket. Very popular in Florida it seems for flats fishing. What do you think about this $150 alternate?

Minn Kota sells quick release handles so you can drop it, adjust it, or take it off. It is a little faster to get under a bridge or into your garage. Or you can just loosen them with a 1/2″ wrench, drop and go through. Its pretty easy to do.Each of these units are great at what they do and users will have his or her opinion. If anyone is in the market and has any questions feel free to drop me an email.
