I had to reset my hds 9 gen 2 and the speedometer is not synced now. Anyone know how to fix this?

The GPS has to be set up, turned on, to output the NMEA 0186 from the receiver in the unit.

Brooker, are you talking about the speedometer that is in dash? I noticed my speedo stopped working when I changed my lowrance in dash unit out. I would also like to know if my new lowrance unit can be set up to work with the in dash speedo. I have an hds-9 gen 3. Thanks for any assistance.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.

Yeah. They are synced with the gps unit. You have to turn the nmea output on the gps unit on and it is suppose to work. Ive got mine on but I have got to roll it outside and see if its working to make sure.

If the nmea wires are hooked up to the speedo turn the outputs on in the setup menu. To check if it is working run through a simulation mode and see if the boat speedo moves.

I think it worked. I turned on the second NMEA output and now when I scroll through my nexyslink gauges my MPH shows 0 instead of no data. Ill have to check it out real time next week on the water. Thanks again.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.

It might not be a requirement now with the new stuff, but when I was setting my Merc/Lowrance nmea stuff up you had to set the Lowrance to send at 9600 baud as well.
