Ok Im dying to know what people are seeing for speeds with these new 08 sabre ftds. Whats the top gps speed with this rig.
Bassin, You should post this in the owners board, but this should ron 61-63 every day w/150 & 65-68 w/175. Hope this helps. John
I have seen 62 with a stock 24p Raker II (slightly modified by a rock) and 59.7 with a 24p Trophy Plus. I had my Raker fixed and balanced by Mark Croxton, but havent been out with it yet. I hope to see 64 or 65. 62 was with my dad and son and 3/4 tank of gas, empty livewells. I hope to go out with the fixed Raker this week Friday and will let you know how well it runs. Wayne

Best speed to date posted with GPS pic was 66.2mph. Little over a week ago I hit 66.7 with same basic Sabre Setup setup. Not sure if its sold yet but I can tell you this little kitty will rocket you up there with the 175 guys. You need to play with motor height, learn how to drive WOT without Chine Walking and you better strap yourself in!!! That is a hot rig. I have one almost identical to this boat and love it! I have a similar boat a 2008 BassCat Sabre non FTD that is only 40lbs lighter with same Etec 150HO motor. Two weeks ago I hit 68.5 mph in cool temps on GPS. Speeds should be very similar with adjusted amounts of fuel in tank to even out your run. I have posted my speeds on BBC BassCat forum. The Etec 150HO will will flat out fly on the Sabre Hull, its quiet, maintenance free, no break in required and you will not find a more supportive dealer then Brannon. Hes a great advocate for BassCat and Evinrude. I live in Birmingham, AL and hes been a great resource for my boating needs. That is one great deal and someone is going to be very lucky to get it!
