20″ Boss Wheels

Still looking for my first Bass Cat and I am eyeing one that happens to have the 20″ Boss Wheels. Not crazy about the looks. Prefer the Claw Wheel with white letters but I have heard that the Boss wheels actually ride and track better. Opinions?

They do an awesome job and I personally would love to have them but it just doesnt seem like the 20ft market is big on them. They seem to be the younger crowd that buys the 18 and 19ft boats. Retail wise, the resale isnt a negative but they just seem the older crowd would prefer (no offense) the smaller wheels, so I wouldnt get the difference out of them. A lot of the Elite guys run them and put thousands on their trailers with not any problems. They are proof they work well. Get it, if nothing else you will be blingin Judd Lasiter

The only issue with the 20 wheels is some curbing. They have not been an issue on use when used normally or with chuck holes. The curbing is the only problem we have experienced. They are more subject to damage with those impacts. They are also eye catchers and everyone will see them. Judd has described it well on the demographic. BCB

When you say curbing do you mean when you cut a turn short and run up on the curb or park the trailer too close the curb and rub up against the curbing? Also, what are chuck holes? Sorry, Im a novice here.

chuck holes = pot holes = rim busters your assumption on curbing is correct

If you have very low profile tires and you even get near a curb….your gonna hit the metal rim every time. That taller profile(sidewall) tire on a non boss wheel is taller than or near the height of a curb and so if you rub one youre only rubbing tire. Watched a friend of mine trash one on a very nice ski boat one night at greers this summer. Just cut it a little bit short so the sidewall got next to the curb-C.O.D. Jr. III

I like the look of the 20s, but where i fish i wouldnt have any rims on my trailer when i got back to the ramp !
