Mercury Optimax Trim Tab Anode

They make thinner shark fin type (whomever they is) anode trim tab that wont hit your prop but it wont do you enough good to make a difference…or at least it didnt in my old boat. That is if you are looking to counter steering torque with the motor trimmed all the way in.

Quik13,The trim tab on a Mercury you will not ever notice being there. It does not play in the process of torque with a bass boat and a Mercury, whether it has hydraulic steering or not. There are other brands and set ups that it will, though not on your rig. People ask where it should be set, and we tell them to loosen the bolt remove the tab and throw it over you left shoulder as you will never miss it since it is not in effect.
