I have just recently purchase a 96 Pantera classic.. I drove it home from corpus Christi to Houston. I then took it to Toledo bend for a tournament and got a flat tire on the way there. I had to pull over on the road while driving because of a logging truck and I my trailer went off the road and cut the inside of the back tire on the trailer. To be honest that was a good thing because the guy that helped me changed the tire noticed that the two bolts on the right side of jack plate were way loose. The boat came with a stow and lok but im thinking of getting a transom saver. im almost sure that is why the bolts had gotten so loose. Its a good thing I had the flat because I mite not had noticed how lose the bolts were before I put it in the water for 3 days..

BassCat recommends the regular transom saver.

Bass Cat does recommend the regular transom saver, but I doubt the other caused your bolts to come loose. Its always a good thing to check all the bolt around the transom when you come of the water. Bolts tend to stress and stretch over a period of time and particularly in rough water that will cause them to become loose.

Thanks for the advise.. I will always check from now on. It was only the second time putting it in the water for me,but I have a checklist of things to look at before I put her down at the ramp..
