now that its cold down here in houston im hunting for 70mph out of the baycat..bravo 1 xs 24 (great holeshot)(summer 90+)i went with the 24 bravo 1 xs (great over all performance ) loaded runs about 65/66 everday at 6k and it liked to run jp on 2 trimed 3/4(fall 90-) still 65/66 but well over the rev as soon as the temps droped below 90 jp on 0 and3/4 or a little less we have a bravo 1 xs 27 i tryed just to see it i could turn it and surprisingly it had a great holeshot and mid range. on top end i had to left it 2/3 on jp and full trim and only got 65mph a few times out of the prop at 6k. i know its over proped but was just a test. 24 fury (loaner) great holeshot (1day 90 degrees out side on the dot). after playing with trim and jp. i found that jp on 0 and to s little under 3/4 trim was best. but i could turn over 6k if i over trimmed and wasnt watching rpms. i turned just under 68. 25 fury(loaner) but i think the prop was trash.the boat uncontrollably chine walked at anything over 45+ i got to turn 6k 1 pass and it was not a ride i was going to do again and that prop was off the boat…so what props do you guys think i should buy and try before just go buck wild and waist all kinds of money….(that i dont wont to) keep in mind that i have 36 minn and twin 10 blades so the boat has alot of drag and weight… the motor is a 250 pxseric at scb told me since the b1xs works well for me, he thought a 26 would work well since i was way over the rev limiter with the 24. and maybe a 25 if the 26 was to much.and i hear the turbo ot4 is just as fast but a taller pitch prop so to test a 23 or 24and i no i want to try a 24/25 tempest and a good 25 fury. so what do you guys think i should go buy first to try, since if the doesnt work im going to have to sell before i try other props.
