The puck that is in now is in the bilge but dose not give me a temp. reading I want to mount the new tranducer on the outside of the transon best place I can see is betreen the motor and the transon strap

Youll want to get advice from others that might know more than I do, but I think you should be able to continue to use the transducer already mounted thru the hull and add a splitter from Lowrance that would allow a temp sensor for mounting on the transom of the boat. I think that is how my 332C is set up on my 07 PII. That should allow for better reading at higher speeds but still allow temp readings when idling.Others can add their thoughts and let you know if I am making any sense.Good Luck

They make a shoot thru that has a remote temp sensor you mount on your jackplate.

Quik13 has the right suggestion with a shunt cable for the temp probe.

the others have offered a easy solution, pick up an external temp sensor and just connect into you existing cableing, mine is mounted on the jack plate so no holes in hull, just predill and either use a self tapping screw or tap the hole and use good quality fasteners, 20 minute job start to finishTreat everyday like it might be the last
