For the guys running a Fury 4 prop on a Puma/Cougar, what size and how many vent plugs are you using? I ordered one for my 2016 Puma and just trying to cut down on the trial and error time. Thanks!

Phil,Are you still running a fury 4 on your Puma? I remember you had Mr. Ronnie do some work to a 26 fury 4 and had good results. I am considering a fury 4 or a Bravo XS for my new Eyra. Whats your thoughts after a good amount of run time with the Fury 4?Chris CoupelPaulina, La.

The tuned Fury 4 I sold and ran a stock fury 4 early this year until I let a friend borrow. The stock fury 4 gives up too much on the top for my liking and therefore will always prefer the fury 3 unless it is tuned.

Thank you for the reply. I already have a hole shot prop. Its a 24″ Fury 3 blade that Mr. Ronnie actually has right now to tune up for me. I may pick up a Bravo XS to try and see what that does. I still want to get the absolute best top end out of my rigs but as my fishing has evolved down here I value hole shot and load carrying ability more than top speed. So I dont mind having several different props for different loads and times of the year. To the Original Poster, My good friend has a 2012 Puma FTD and he has been running a 26″Fury 4 blade. No plugs installed. It has a decent hole shot and it helps to have a hydraulic plate as the hole shot improves greatly when you jack it up. He takes off with the plate all the way up and lowers it to running height as its breaking over. It is a very good handling prop and feels so much more locked in than the 3 blade if that makes sense. It just never feels like its going to let go or drop the nose at any time. His is slightly slower than the 3 blade fury but not by much on his setup. Maybe 1-2 mph. He says he is never going back to the 3 blade. I guess we all value different things on our setups more than others. Chris CoupelPaulina, La.

Thanks for the replies! Mr. Gilbert has my 25p 3 blade Fury now. Once I get that back in send him my 26p Fury 3 blade. Between those 2 and the Fury 4 I should have everything covered…lolLast edited by laflur6 on May 30th, 2018, 6:26 pm, edited 1 time in total.
