Some fish have spawned and some have not. Elevation is slowly creeping up, though rain in Missouri will come down the Norfork River and raise the lake significantly. The reservoir was right around 540 fifteen days ago or so. Now it is going to press 560 and possibly pass that from the forcast. Our standard launch and weigh in site is good to around 570, it just gives us more room to park boats. As you all know Norfork is fine in the range all the way to the brim. It fishes fine and just moves the fish around. We have plenty of launch sites and even the roads work well as it rises. The rising water will give us everything from clear water like it is now very clear at the dam, which has clarity now nearing 40 in high noon sunshine. Then the moving water offers mud lines in the major feeder creeks and river. That line will move to Red Bank and the Big Creek, Brushy Creek and Bennets Bayou areas. The backs will clear and the dirty water will move. Temps are low 60s now and rising water has the fish off the spawn. This means a wide range of fishing, from those which have spawned, to those that have not. We look for everything fro top water to jig fish 40 deep. Bring your whacky worms too! Really moving baits to flipping, this is going to be a very versatile year at the Owners Invitational. The last wave of spawn should be done if the rains end next week.
