Home › Forums › Bass Cats For Sale › **Looking to buy Pantera without motor** !!!FOUND IT!!!
I am in need of a new cat (new to me). I have my heart set on a nice clean Pantera. Boat does not need any add ons other than a trailer maybe, I have a newer 200HP and new electronics. I have a great looking 90 P2 but the transom has just give it up so obviously this will be an area of concern on an older boat. I would prefer a dual console but im open. I need to find something b4 winters end. Im located in SW Missouri and would travel. You can send pix to jdcarterrsc@hotmail.com Thanks, J.. UPDATE 1/19/09: I found my new kitty! I just wanted to thank everyone for the emails and the replys to this post. I should have my new girl this week. (06 Classic) So now I will just have to get my motor rigged and off I go. Plus FYI I sold my old girl last week. And boy do I miss her! Good luck Todd I hope she continues to win tournys for you! I know what ur going through. I have a 94 P11 with a 200 yam with a hole in one piston. Not sure what im gonna do with mine yet. Im ready to go fishin, i do know that.
Yeah big decisions coming your way I know how you feel. I am looking at two options 1) Im looking at an 02 Pantera and I might just put my motor on it. or 2) Im thinking about selling what I have and just get in a newer 03 or 04 Cougar. But if you are interested I may have an 04 Merc 200 EFI 3.0L for sale in the coming days or weeks. Which I must admit is a VERY strong motor it moved my 90 P2 at about 73GPS @ 5600 with a hole shot that was unreal. Thats what is sad to me I will miss the days of blowing the doors off all of these new 225s with my lil old Kitty. I am in Springfield, MO and my email is jdcarterrsc@hotmail.com if you have some intrest let me know. I exploring all my options. Best of Luck to you! Thanks, J..
I know what ur talkin about when u say “blowin the doors off other boats”. Mine went 71 gps three days before the motor popped. The thing was worn completely out too. I can just imagine what it would do with a nice motor. Does ur merc come with all controlls if u decide to sell it ? How much? Thanks, Chris
Busa, Sorry for the delay I was just waiting on the report from having the motor checked out. It is a 2004 200 Merc EFI 3.0L with about 280 Hrs on it. I just had it in the shop and had the yearly maintenance done. All looks good. As far as the controls go I would prefer not to sell with controls but I would be willing to work something out if they are needed. The price is the hard part. I still owe about $5900 on the note but would be willing to sell the motor for $5200. (controls excluded) But I would sell my whole package for what I owe on the note. Which would include 90 PII DC w/ MG trolling motor and trailer plus several other accessories (no graphs). All of the accessories/wiring have been up dated (including new 3bank charger, livewell controls and new front temp/depth gauge) and full working order but the boat itself is not in good shape the transom is out and there is a crack in the hull. I am still working on getting a boat without a motor so this deal may be null if I get one found. Im sorry for being a little wishy washy but im trying to keep all my options open. Please email me if you want more info. jdcarterrsc@hotmail.com Thanks, J..
Guys, This rig could make a do it yourself builder for someone. That 3.0 200 would be a beast. BCB
Dont apologize for keepin ur options open. Believe me, i know exactly what ur goin through. I wish i had the money to buy a new CAT and im sure u wish the same too. Untill then we will just have to keep peiceing these old boats together. Hey , i think BCB should have one of those “Pimp my Boat” shows and we could be the first of the lucky ones to have a nice boat again. Sounds good dont u think ?
Busa, That is a great idea! Im sure BCB is always looking for new and improved marketing ideas. What a better way than getting national attention and maybe even a prime time spot on one of the major neworks? BCB im here just let me know when you ready go get “pimpn”. But I think we should call it “Pimp my Ship”(TM) OK…OK… A little bit of a pipe dream maybe but a guy can dream right! Busa thanks for the laugh. Good Luck in your adventures and let me know if I can help. J..
