Lowrance 1440 flasher

The flasher in my 2008 Puma has issues and I am returning it to Lowrance for repair. I do not use it anyway and am considering not reinstalling it. Does is anyone have any good suggestions for something else to install in the opening in the dash?

I think I saw a circular radio installed in one once before. Dont remember where I saw it though.

Thanks Phil, Interesting idea. It would sure be easier to access a radio in the dash versus having to lay down in the cockpit to access the one in the boat now!!
