After talking with Tommy Yetts at Rockwall Marine, for over a year, Ive finally placed my order for a 2011 Puma FTD! I had to sell my Ranger first, and then took the year off to handle some other issues. It has been a long, long wait and Ive literally spent hours at Rockwall Marine learning everything I could about this boat from wiring configurations to possible tackle organization options. I hope its ready by the first of October. Once the motor is broke in, I believe her maiden fishing voyage is going to be a South Texas Big Bass Lake Falcon Beatdown. Does anyone know what the lead-time is right now? Also, how long does it take to generate a hull w/vin number after the order is placed, and then become available for picture viewing on Facebook? Tick tock, tick tock…

I would venture to always go with 6 weeks for build time, though may be about 8 weeks at the current time as the 2011 models are heading out across the country to dealerships. Most photos are not uploaded to facebook until the boat is almost on its way out the door, though your dealer should be able to get you a HIN once it goes into the mold. And they may possibly be able to get you a shot of it once it comes out of the mold. Congrats on the FTD and welcome to the family.

Its very hard to be patient when you know you are getting a new boat and the best boat on the market today! Get us pics once you get delivery!

I have one that I hope will be delivered this week to Brech Marine, I think this is week 6! Congrats on your new boat, the wait is a killer but I am glad mine is about over!

Ill definitely post pics as soon as I get it. I have to admit that Im not very creative when it comes to designing my own boat colors and I usually keep it pretty simple. With that being said, I basically ordered the exact same colors as Sneezy Beltran. Sorry Sneezy, but when I saw those colors it reminded me of a Champion that my Dad had a few years back. When clean, there was not a better looking rig out there. Im going to drive up to the plant and pick mine up as soon as I get the call so I can also tour the facility.

You will be happy with Tommy and the guys at Rockwall Marine. They just had my Cat for service, and all the work was done perfect. It always is.A new Cat and a strong honest dealer is the perfect combo.

Congratulations on your new Cat. As the others said, probably 6-8 weeks before you get it. Waiting on those things is so hard. Ive had three Cats, two I bought off the showroom, one I ordered. It was much easier on me mentally to get the two off the showroom floor.

First we are glad you chose to the Bass Cat “Family” and you cant get any better than Rockwall Marine. The wait should be within a few months depending on the equipment you order. We look forward to hearing your comparison. BCB
