I Just purchased my first Bass Cat . 2003 Sabre with a 150 Merc XR6. I am just wondering why its so hard to steer? It has dual steering according to the guy i bought it from but Its very hard for me to hold the wheel while the boat is moving. This boat rides like a dream compared to the Ranger I sold but its very hard to steer. Any ideas folks?
Are the cables hard to steer on the trailer with it trimmed down, or only when running. If it is only when running the engine is too high, if it is on the trailer then it needs lubrication or new steering cables.
