What is correct weight of gear lube to use in my 2011 250 pro xs…

I know that basscat orders the pro xs motors with the high performance lower unit on them. What is the correct weight/viscosity to use? I have heard everything from 80w/90 to 75w/90 and SAE 90. Just needing to make sure I buy the correct one. Thanks in advance.

Lookn,Here is what Mercury has on their website. I just had the dealer do mine along with the water pump. Here it is http://www.mercurymarine.com/parts-and- … gear-lube/

Recommended gear lube is Mercury High Performance Gear Lube…Its SAE90

Merc Premium gear lube is SAE80W90 its only recommended for small outboards up to 60hp.. The bigger OBs and M/C Sterndrives recommended is Mercury High Performance
