Guys been noticing my 2007 p2 is bumping the hamby on the front cross brace when im loading must be the current ramp angle. Not a big deal but sure is eating on my hamby pretty good. Anybody elese have this problem?
I have found on my 07 PII that the top of the fender over the rear tire should be just above water level. Works on almost every ramp I have been to.
Guys I have owned four boats in the last 20 years one being a p4 and have never bumped the front cross brace until the p2. Maybe I am to deep but all the boats have loaded fine up until recently the p2 started hitting the brace . I think I read where some sabre owners had to mount a roller at the front cross brace. Maybe have to look at that option because I dont think the boat can get on the trailer if I go any shallower with the trailer.
option # 2 (add roller) will solve the problem. option #1 (adjust trailer depth) may work as well. deeper trailer may work too! play around with it. good luck.

I have had two P2s (2008 & 2011) and water line needs to be mid fender or higher. I power right up tight to roller. If you over back the trailer your nose will hit.

I agree with Bama that if your too deep with the PII unloading you will hit the spare tire and if you too deep while loading the nose of the bow will hit the brace. I found backing the trailer down to the LED light on front of the fender works very well.
I have a 05 Sabre and I just spent $1, 900 on the bottom of the boat and had a keelgaurd installed. I just saw how bad it was scrapped up, its only been a few times since fixed. I believe that the front cross members hitting it wile loading or unloading. Never had a issue like this with any other boat/trailer? Any advice is welcome! I load with the water line about 3 to 4 inches down on the rear fender well.
On my 2011 PII I have about 6 inches of the short bunk boards out of the water and have no problems loading. This is my first cat and I had trouble when I first start loading it but found out real quick that trailer does not need to be in water very deep to load. Unless you are on a shallow ramp then I only have a inch or two of the short bunks out of the water. Trust me the first few trips I was use to my old boat and my bow was actually going under the bow roller and it really surprised me where my trailer needed to be to load properly. Good luck and I will try to take a few pictures this weekend maybe it would help you some.

Yup, you are to deep especially if its a steep ramp. Them more bunk out of the water the fewer problems you will have hitting cross bar or nosing under the roller. Bunks guide you to where you need to be, let them work for you. Will need a little more power to get to roller but you wont be bumping into things.
