OK guys I am getting ready to either put my boat up for sale to a private buyer or trade it in on a new one. My boat is a 96 with a 175 Mariner, brand new 65 # minn kota, two brand new 522 lowrances, 3 brand new tires. The only flaw with the boat is the seats are done for. They just plain out need to be replaced. What I need to know is what do you guys think I should sell the boat for to tell you the truth I was thinking about 7 grand or somewhere in that range but if I am lowballing myself let me know. Thanks guys for all of your help and my next boat will definately be a CAT.

Guys I just need to know how much I can expect to get for my boat so I can get as much for it as possible so I dont have to get in my wood pile and get cash.

Your price is about right. Seats will cost someone a few hundred more to replace. The upgrades make the boat more attractive, but wont add much to the resale value. Good luck selling the boat.

Thanks I bought the boat right so I just did not know what the boat was worth on the market and i have not seen many older sabres with a 175 for sale on the BCB sales site.

If all thats wrong with the boat are the seats, you may consider replacing them. For the little it would cost, you would be able to get top dollar for the boat and probably turn it faster. jmo

Im with Puma, I normally go all through one before selling. I dont want to make any excuses when it comes to price negotiations, nor do I want the new owner to do anything but enjoy their new to them rig.

I have wanted to replace the seats the whole time but the fact that BCB is so far behind on the seats i dont know if they will be done with them by the time i am going to trade but i will call them tommorrow anyway.

Ask BassCat if a set of bench seats from an 02 Jag would fit, if so I have a set that were taken out of a new boat that I may not need. I believe they may be the same color. Mike

The center is different in width.
