Didnt want to hijack the other thread but I have a question on a Lester charger. I got a 24V Lester charger when I bought my new PII last Spring. I put it away and kind of forgot I had it. Should I be using this charger for my trolling system instead of the onboard charger? Thanks!

Absolutely! The Lester Charger, we think, is the best charger for a trolling set up there is. Just dont over use it and you will be fine. The on board chargers work fine and different depending on the brand. Though the Lester will pop the batteries to the top every time. Again just set the timer sparingly. BCB

Does the Lester plug into a receptacle in the back of the boat or do you plug it into the TM receptacle up front? Just curious about the logistics of using one on a 36 V system.

Mine is set up to plug in up front but its the 24V charger.

The Lester chargers that BCB provides come with a plug in for the front panel. They are added by BCB. These are either 24 or 36 volts models. The 12 volt models are available from Lester, though BCB does not carry those.

OK, here is another question for BCB. Can a new boat with an onboard charger be fitted with a plug in for a Lester should one decide to get one? Thanks.
