TPI settings are an issue on EFI engines, though not often on DI motors. The battery definitely would not help this and always running full fuel does not either. EFI motors have not bottom end torque, and most we ran a 24 or 23 Tempest on. The rigs that were used at the Classic were all set with 24 Tempests. Most of this would be nature of the beasts from our perspective, and we doubt if it were loaded that hole shot was ever much different. That little motor was a L O N G hole shot on 181 series Cs, and forever and a day on a T models. Really double digits on a T series. Which was a prompting for the 3. ltr. big block 200 EFI you all know about. That engine was short lived due to EPA regs, though this is why it was built. We really dont think there is much up with your rig, other than you need a different wheel to spin.
