Guys, I need some help here please. I have a 2000 single axle trailer holding my classic. I noticed a few weeks ago that the inside part of the rims had an orange/brown colored stains. I confirmed it was not the grease coming out from the inner double lipped seals. The grease I used last time was the wheel bearing water proof red colored evinrude good stuff. BTW – man is that some sticky stuff. I spoke with Simon in parts and he suggested I replaced the seals, pads (Attwood drum), and then I TRIED to bleed the actuator. This I believe is my main issue….. I had a buddy help me pump up the actuator with the receiver hitch while I released the bleeder valves on each side starting on passenger side first. The actuator did get harder after pumping it up but seems to still have air in it? I also held actuator down with pressure to see if I had a bad actuator which I do not as it stayed hard. When I take off in the truck with boat attached I hear the actuator extend out then a bump which I assume is still air in the system. I also checked the small shock and replaced that as well. Today after work I got under the trailer to try and bleed the valves again and noticed that orange / brown colored residue on the inside of the wheel / rims. I can only think the calipers are leaking break fluid dot # 3 to be exact. I guess I now need replace the calipers? I also experience the back up lock out mechanism popping out/disengaging as I back up into my garage. My driveway is pitched so I always get out and switch lever so I do not fight the trailer brakes backing in.This has been a very frustrating processs for me as I am very anal about the trailer safety with breaking etc. any suggestions?ThanksSam
