They do link up to the SHO, though some function signals are NMEA 0183 and are not compatible to NMEA 2000 and may require a bridge to the network for some items. Most are compatible with the Mercury Smart Craft on that system, as that is a Mercury proprietary licensed protocal. We have had no issues on the compatibility with NexSysLink and Yamaha other than some would like a fuel flow Gallons Used. We have the GPH on the system we believe. The Recall features are really cool on the NexSys system which pull up the last MPH and RPM max numbers for setup. The must be zeroed to retrieve a new set. There are also nice things on the rotating LCD dial face as you can view three functions at one time in the sequence you program these. There are 10 rotating windows, that you can program 9 of those windows in your sequence preference.
