I stopped by the factory before going on my trip to Lake Fork last weekend. While I was there I saw Scott Estes and he showed me the new line of Denali rods. I knew I was going to be fishing weightless flukes sometime during my trip to Fork, so I purchased the 6 1/2 ft finesse rod.to try. When I started fishing the rod I was genuinely impressed with its sensitivity. I have fished with Loomis IMX rods in the past and this Denali rod seemed every bit as sensitive as the Loomis rods. To make a long story short, I nailed a 7# er on my first day there using the new rod. I didnt beat my best (8-15), but it was sure fun catching that fish!(Picture to be posted as soon as I get someone to help.) The rod performed flawlessly and handled that big fish with no problem! If any of you guys are in the market for a new rod give these new Denalis a look see. Im sure you wont be disappointed. I am not a regular contributor to this board, although I am a “lurker” and read this board on a daily basis. I am on my 4th BassCat and have owned them since 1992.(All were/are some version of the Panteras.) Everyone have a good day, and Ill see you at the O.I.! john gorka 2008 PIV Last edited by jgorka on April 3rd, 2009, 2:06 pm, edited 1 time in total.
