Basketboy – I dont go to weigh fish and besides I wanted Phil to run my boat to see how I was coming along vs the Shensi so we threwem back and made some runs. Tideman – I dont think I have the stones to touch that game…I am thinking Mizzou -9 and Auburn -28 will be the 2 games I like for tomorrow. Then KY Sunday and Tenn Monday…man, I am glad football started now if I can keep from calling you for a loan we will be in GREAT shape JL
I think his intent is pretty obvious. Hillary supporters are pissed that she lost, pissed that Obama didnt choose here for VP. And McCain is hoping that he can pick up some of those frustrated Hillary supporters. Whether it will work or not is a guess. Some wont vote for a black for president. Some will. Some wont vote for a woman for VP. Some will. The question is, how are those groups going to align themselves for the election. Ought to be interesting.2008 Pantera Classic2014 Mercury Pro XS 200
Dont be pissed yet. Give yourself chance to get to know this woman. She fishes, hunts, takes care of a family and the largest state in the nation. Shes also a dedicated NRA member. Neither she or her husband are lawyers (big plus). Im getting tired of lawyers and career politicians running our country. She and her family are as regular type of people as most of us. In the coming weeks most will get the opportunity to see that she is more than qualified and not full of the regular beltway crap. Shes a good, conservative family person that does not play the old fashioned bulls$it politician games. And as for the CFB talk, sorry but, Ohio State will be bringing it home this year
I agree, refreshing to hear someone putting the people ahead of the Government. She is pro-domestic oil (obviously) Alaska actually passed the tax windfall (from rising oil prices) back to the citizens!!
Tideman, one of my assistants asked me last Wednesday who I thought McCain should pick. I told her that Id hoped for Condileeza Rice, but that she had said repeatedly she didnt want the job. My second choice was the female governor of Alaska (I couldnt remember her name), since Id heard her interviewed two months ago on Glenn Beck. She was VERY impressive. Tonight Ive heard TV pundit after pundit talk about how inexperienced she is. They are WRONG! Wait until you hear her speak about our need to open up ANWR to drilling, wanting to make us energy independent, and how shes cutting government, lowering property taxes–and other things I like to hear. She calls a spade a spade.Last edited by JimMet on August 30th, 2008, 2:49 am, edited 1 time in total.
