Just a few months after getting my 06 opti I was out on the lake and had just left the ramp, was idling a ways to get out to the boat lane, when the engine died, no warning, just quit. It would not start back for anything. Took it to the dealer and they found one of the wires burnt and as I recall, they said it appeared when the engine was built that one of the wires was routed incorrectly. They checked it out, fixed and rerouted the wiring and said it should never be an issue again, just one of those things. I am just glad it did it when it did and not after I had ran a couple miles down the lake. Though I did find out, it is not particularly easy to load a boat without the big motor, glad it was still warm out. You do wonder if they missed that, what else could they have missed. I would say enjoy it and time will tell the tell.
