I am hoping to tap into some of the knowledge here, I have a new Sabre it came factory equipped with a 24 fury. I have a 175 pro xs. I have been having water pressure issues. So the dealer lowered the motor and said it should be close to right. Well I am starting to think the prop is my issue. The boat is keeping the nose stuck to the water and the water is breaking ahead of the console for a good 1/4 mile before it starts to release and rise. Which at that point I have trimmed it to the point it starts to lose water pressure, for that 1/4 mile it has a rooster tail 15 tall. When the nose finally starts to come up the rooster tail does lay out flat and long but then the water pressure starts dropping. The motor will get to about 5300 rpm finally but water pressure starts declining. The best wide open throttle run it has made is 61 mph by gps. Hole shot is good. I am wondering if this fury prop and the boat are fighting each other, the boat wants to release from the water but the fury is forcing it to run flat. I have been told fury props like to run a boat flat and does not create bow lift, and bass cats have lots of lift. I still have a few rpms to gain, should I be running a tempest 25 to get my rpms and my bow lift? Btw the front storages are empty but I did had 4 rods on the front deck. All my tackle is in the back storages, so I should be light on the nose of the boat.Last edited by muddywaters on May 23rd, 2016, 1:00 pm, edited 1 time in total.
