The whole point of the elevated deck is for ease of flipping / pitching. The trolling motor and bounce buster will do that on all the different boats if you place the rods in the wrong position, or dont check where they are before stowing the motor. And in really rough conditions the trolling motor being close to the deck is a good thing . I would try to get used to the position of the troller, and not raise it. Also keep in mind that most everything done on a BCB boat is done for a reason, and theyve tried all kinds of different heights, conditions, clearances, etc,,,,,, Good luck, D.
