I am upgrading my electronics on my boat. I have a 2015 sabre that came with Humminbird 788s. I am putting a 999 on the console and a 859 on the bow. They take the same power plug that is on there from the factory because it came with Humminbirds but everything you read says wire them directly to the battery. Does anyone know exactly how Bass Cat runs the wire for electronics from the factory? Please change my user name to Firecat
They are wired into the loom run inside the boat. A 2015 is 10 gauge wire throughout on the main trunk line and your existing plug should work just fine. You will need a Y cable for the side imaging transducer on the 999ciSI.

Nice upgrade that is so nice to have. Thanks BCBPractice Angling CPRCatchPictureRelease2010 PIV 200SHO
Indeed, great to have 10 gauge wiring. Moderators on BBC Bird forums are adamant about direct wiring your graphs to the battery. I would only consider re-wiring directly if I were having power issues with my graphs.
What gauge is in an 08 Sabre? Currently questioning this myself. I run a 998 on the console and its rare that it displays over 12v on a fresh battery thats 12.9v.
