Would a jump start swich in the boat or the Wee Go jump start system be better for dealling cold mourning jump starts for 175 OptiMax?

I doubt the Wee Go would work. The Opti has to turn over a couple of revolutions before anything happens, and it requires a lot of power to run the starter + the electronics. If you have a bad cranking battery, I would replace that before it bites you. If you have some sort of huge parasitic drain that kills the battery while you are out fishing, Id track that down as well. For emergencies, I have always just swapped the cables over to one of the TM batteries. Has only happened maybe twice in 40+ years of owning a boat.2008 Pantera Classic2014 Mercury Pro XS 200

Just thought Id give you some info.My brother has a WeeGo and I have a different brand Lithium portal charger. They work great for car battery jump. They do not have enough power to jump start a dead deep cycle marine battery. We tried both on two different boats with two different Cranking batteries. Id just get a jumper cable and use ur trolling motor battery to jump your crakin battery..Or get a larger jumper box. ThanksStephen

A battery selector switch would give you the convenience of jumping by just turning a switch. Ive installed this on several boats. Just be aware, you dont want to use it as a means of starting on cold mornings — youre battery should be hot enough to handle that — it would be for an emergency to get you back in.JohnJones Trolling Motor Services870 773 3474Motorguide/MinnKota/PowerPole/Lowrance/Humminbird
