Does the Cougar Advantage and Cougar FTD share the same hull? If not, Tell me about the Cougar Advantage hull. How long has it been in production unchanged? Will it reach 80mph with a 250 on the back? Is it just as good a ride as the FTDs at those speeds? I know the deck layout is different I am just interested in the hull information. Thanks for insight. Sincerely, CatManDo

Cat man, I am not sure. I would think the hulls would be the same. FTD is the high end model.My 2012 p4 is a lot of boat, if I ever bought another one it would be a new Cougar FTD

Not exactly, they are the same basic running surface, though have different styling and a few tweaks no one will probably notice.

Can you be more specific BC without giving away to many secrets? What about known speeds with the 250 on the Advantage hull?

In a post I rfead earlier BCB stated that the advantage is probably the quickest in that size, i HAVE SEEN MULTIPLE POSTS CLAIMING 80-84 MPH

Cat man do, That is probably as in depth as the difference in performance will get. The differences in cosmetics are the stripe graphics are traditional corners vs. radiused and the cross stripe in the Premium hull. The Mini Bolt on the side of the hull also is not on the Advantage hull. BCB

FTD is listed as 70 pounds less Than Advantage. Is this correct?

It will run 80+ with a 250. My 02 does and the new ones are much faster
