Im just curious on the differences or peoples preferences on these.

Puma for me. Just like the layout better. Better rear storage design, access to the Bilge components is alot better, and i like being able to ballast the boat by fueling the main or rear kicker tanks, this helps when fishing shallower waters. I do like the newer FTD model front deck as its about 2 inches wider up front, but thats not enough for me to want an FTD model.

The only BassCat Ive ever owned is a Puma FTD. Storage and comfort is awesome. I cant say enough about it so Ill just say that when I order another one that itll be another Puma FTD. Unless like Corky said, BCB comes out with something I like better.

I own a Puma and like it. If I were getting another one I might get the FTD. I would like the under seat storage I think, and it would make up for the smaller rear storage. I also would like a wider front deck. But as mentioned the rear storage compartments are roomy and bilge access is excellent.

Ive owned a 2008 Puma and now own a 2014 Puma FTD. Front deck is identical with exception of ever so slightly wider FTD Rear deck difference is: 1) triangular live wells on FtD 2) significantly larger rear storage compartments on Puma All the fuel is in two 26 Fallon saddle tanks in rear of FTD Most fuel (32gal) is under driver/passenger bench on Puma This allows Puma to nose down and break over onto plane much quicker where FTD has nose up higher as it gets on plane (like normal bass boat) What you give up in rear storage on the FTD you more than get back with two additional storage areas under both seats and an extra cooler between seats Puma plows better in rough water but FTD ride is more refined and responsive (a few newer tweaks to the hull). Differences in ride are subtle. FTD a tad faster, not much. FTD has more color scheme options (mini bolt, nose cap, etc…) Sounds cliche but you cant go wrong with either! Danny
